WELCOME RECEPTION

2019/24/09 – Castle of the Dukes of Brittany

What better way to welcome you in Nantes than in the courtyard of the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany, in the very heart of the city. The elegant white stone walls and sophisticated sculpted facades from the 15th, 16th and 18th centuries contrast strikingly with the rough exterior fortifications and offer a unique location for the first gathering of IASP 2019.

Take a walk on the ramparts and admire a beautiful view of the city with the Tower Lu at the south, the medieval quarter of Bouffay at the west and the St Pierre & St Paul Cathedral at the north.

2019/25/09 – Machines de l’Île

Les Machines de l’île is an unprecedented art project. Born from François Delaroziere and Pierre Orefice’s collective imagination, it is a place where you’ll find Jules Verne’s “Invented Worlds”, the mechanical universe of Leonardo da Vinci, and Nantes’ industrial history, all on the exceptional site of the city’s former shipyards. Come and meet the strange machines inhabiting the Île de Nantes during a dinner full of wonders and surprises.

GALA DINNER

2019/09/26 – Château de Goulaine

In the XII century, Jean de Goulaine, the first Goulaine, then Captain of the city of Nantes, added ramparts and fortifications to the family estate, turning it into the powerful fortified castle it still is today and making it one of the prestigious Châteaux of the Loire Valley.
The castle has a long and strong history, as does the Goulaine family who has always lived in the castle, except for a short period time of time during the French Revolution.
It’s one of the many astonishing illustrations of the French history and culture that we can’t wait to share with you.
